The annual National Prayer Vigil for Life
in the United States will take place from January 28 to January 29 in a virtual format.
The vigil is organized annually in January by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to commemorate the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s
“Roe v. Wade” and “Doe v. Bolton” decisions which legalized abortion in the country in 1973.

Reflection for the week on
Faith Formation February Family Event
We want to send some love to residents of local senior living facilities this year.
Here's how you can help:
Make a handmade Valentine's Day card from each member of your family.
No envelope needed.
Make them generic and sign them: Your friends at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Allen, Texas
Drop these cards off at Church before or after Mass times the weekend of February 6th - 7th. There will be a collection box in the narthex.
These cards will be delivered on Valentine's Day.

Our Stephen Minister trainees are studying the topic of “
Caring for Those with Depression: The Stephen Minister’s Role
” this week.
They will learn the signs of mild, moderate, and severe depression; how to care appropriately for someone with mild or moderate depression; and when and how to make a referral to a mental health professional. Continue to pray for our trainees as they grow in their ability to bring Christ’s love and care to people as a ministry of our congregation.
We appreciate your continued prayers for our Stephen Minister training class.
This week, they are covering “A Process Approach to Caring,” which provides the key understanding that the most effective caregiving happens when we focus on the process of care – not the results we hope to see.
They do not have to fix the caregivers’ problems; instead, they can continue providing the best possible care while relying on God to bring about the results.
Please consider these fundraising options to help Our Lady of Angels Parish.
THANK YOU ALL
We are thankful for your generosity during this time! Without Sunday Masses, OLA has suffered financial losses, but we have been able to cut variable costs to mitigate the current crisis. We would like to encourage you to give through any of these options. We are also including the link to online giving from our website below. We greatly appreciate your continued support!
