Catholic Social Teaching
Are you frustrated by inaction during this time?
Just Faith Ministries’ program,
Just Engagement: The Power to Change,
will teach you how to create meaningful and lasting change even from home.
Just Engagement is a nine-week program that is grounded in the Christian justice tradition and equips small groups for advocacy and grassroots organizing, no matter what issue they decide to address.

January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month
There are an estimated 40 million victims of human trafficking and slavery today. We pray for them and for an end to all forms of slavery.

Please continue to pray for our Stephen Minister trainees. This week they will be exploring one of the more frequent situations in which they may provide care – “Ministering to Those Experiencing Grieg.” They will learn about the different stages of grief, along with practical ways they can care at each stage. This is a situation everyone is likely to encounter at different times in life, so it is a crucial way our Stephen Ministers will offer care in our congregation and community.
We appreciate your continued prayers for our Stephen Minister training class.
This week, they are covering “A Process Approach to Caring,” which provides the key understanding that the most effective caregiving happens when we focus on the process of care – not the results we hope to see.
They do not have to fix the caregivers’ problems; instead, they can continue providing the best possible care while relying on God to bring about the results.
Please consider these fundraising options to help Our Lady of Angels Parish.
THANK YOU ALL
We are thankful for your generosity during this time! Without Sunday Masses, OLA has suffered financial losses, but we have been able to cut variable costs to mitigate the current crisis. We would like to encourage you to give through any of these options. We are also including the link to online giving from our website below. We greatly appreciate your continued support!
